🧺 Ingredients (serves 2)
For the chicken:
Boneless chicken fillet or thighs - 500 g
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
For the teriyaki sauce:
Soy sauce - 80 ml
Sugar - 2 tbsp
Mirin (or honey) - 2 tbsp
Rice vinegar - 1 tbsp (optional)
For serving:
Boiled white rice
Sesame seeds - optional
Green onions - optional

Cut the chicken into large pieces or strips.
Heat a frying pan with oil over medium heat.
Fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides.
In a separate bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar, and mirin.
Pour the sauce into the pan with the chicken.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 7-10 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken like a glaze.
Remove from heat.
